Head of the Polri Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, noted in a statement here on Wednesday, that the police had previously disseminated information regarding the police activities through the Integrated Information Management System (SPIT) and Mediahub.
However, those platforms were limited to narratives and photos.
With the launch of Policetube, all police activities—from local precincts to National Police Headquarters—can now be documented and shared in video format. This enables the public to directly observe police operations in a clear, transparent, and accessible way.
“We hope that there will be no more questions about what the police have been doing. All evidence of officers’ work in the field can now be viewed directly via Policetube,” he remarked.
Nugroho stated that the introduction of Policetube aligns with the police’s commitment to transparency and aims to strengthen public trust in the institution.
He emphasized that every police officer is urged to actively share positive information, not just in the real world but also in digital spaces.
Through Policetube, Nugroho said his side is optimistic that they can be closer to the public, distribute accurate information, and demonstrate that the police's work is present and real in protecting, serving, and guiding the community.
The Polri also conducted an educational and training session on how to use Policetube and the “Humas Pintar Presisi” platform.
The event was attended by 288 participants in person and 2,080 participants online.
“We hope this training would help the personnel better prepare for future challenges while reinforcing professionalism and supporting a modern, transparent, and trusted Polri public relations approach,” Nugroho stated.
