Brian emphasized that the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) is among Indonesia's leading universities with strong research and teaching capacities, especially in science and technology.
He believes that partnering with Tsinghua University, one of China's leading institutions, will be a vital step toward creating a wider impact in the education and industrial sectors.
Furthermore, Yuliarto encouraged the development of joint research, lecturer and student exchange programs, and collaboration in establishing cross-border study programs.
He also expressed his gratitude for Tsinghua University's initiative to develop educational facilities in Indonesia, which could serve as a hub for regional collaboration.
Meanwhile, Tsinghua University Vice President Bin Yang stated that the collaboration between these leading universities of two major countries is expected to yield tangible programs with direct benefits.
He emphasized the importance of transforming research into innovations that serve the community.
"We believe this collaboration will strengthen the innovation ecosystem not only on campus but also within industry and society. Furthermore, we are ready to support the development of Indonesia's future leadership through joint training programs, dual degrees, and collaborative research in various strategic fields," Yang stated.
Tsinghua University is also open to broader collaboration opportunities in other regions of Indonesia, such as Sumatra and Kalimantan, and has proposed holding a joint conference with the National Economic Council this coming October.
