Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti stated that the commemoration of The 80th Indonesian Independence Day can become a momentum to strengthen the collaboration in developing inclusive, high- quality education.

"In celebrating Indonesia's 80th anniversary, we will work together to realize quality education for all," said Mu'ti at the Harmoni Bintang Collaborative Festival in Jakarta on Sunday.

He emphasized that disabilities should not be seen as obstacle to success, and that unity is the key to achieving shared educational goals.

"We strive to ensure that Indonesian children, regardless of their economic status, physical condition, or location, have access to inclusive, non-discirminatory education," said the Minister.

Harmoni Bintang Collaborative Festival is organized by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), through the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Special Education, and Special Services Education as part of the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

Themed "Empowered Students, Glorious Indonesia," the festival featured inspiring stories from students of diverse backgrounds and circumstances, including those from Special Needs Schools (SLB), Vocational High Schools (SMK), Course and Training Institutions (LKP), and non-formal and informal education institutions.

The festival featured a variety of activity such as live murals, digital kiosks, photo and craft exhibitions, student performances, social experiments, and media and community gatherings.
