During a dialogue with vocational high school students in Jakarta on Wednesday, he informed that one of the strategies is enabling remote learning to meet the educational needs of children living in secluded areas.
“Indonesian children who live in hard-to-reach regions can still receive education through remote learning,” Mu’ti said.
Elaborating on the next strategy, the minister highlighted that the government is committed to supporting the operations of non-formal educational facilities, such as community learning centers (PKBM), to provide uniform education at the elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels.
The third strategy is the development of integrated school complexes that offer essential educational services across all school levels, he added.
“Of course, it is necessary to properly arrange the schedules for each level so that everything is covered. These are our ways of ensuring that all Indonesian children have sufficient access to education,” he explained.
The minister then reminded the public that learning and teaching should not be limited to schools. He urged them to pursue education and hone their skills beyond the classroom.
“Children can study in places that offer courses or training in certain skills, which can help them get jobs or even create employment opportunities,” he affirmed.
He then delivered a motivational message, encouraging all Indonesian children and students to dream big, saying he believes that dreams can guide individuals to keep improving themselves.
The minister also urged all children to reject pessimism, assuring them that nothing would be out of reach as long as they are willing to work for their goals.
“Do not say ‘impossible’ because you could be trapped in a mental block, plunging into defeatism,” he told the students.
