Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA) - The Free Health Check (CKG) Program for students will not merely focus on physical examinations but also form the foundation for a long-term, integrated digital medical record system, Presidential Communications Office Head, Hasan Nasbi, stated.

While reviewing the implementation of the CKG at South Tangerang 6 High School on Monday, Nasbi stated that data obtained from student health checks will be collected and entered into the national medical record system.

"The Head of the Health Development Policy Agency of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Asnawi Abdullah, said we would have our medical records passed down from generation to generation," he remarked.

He affirmed that this initiative aligns with the government's vision to build a generational health database.

Nasbi explained that this system enables more comprehensive tracking of family health history while also facilitating early disease prevention and treatment efforts.

"We will have more comprehensive data, which is easier to manage and track. The origins of diseases will also be easier to trace," he noted.

With health information integrated into the national system, people will no longer need to repeat checkups while moving between healthcare facilities, he stated.

In addition, the Health Ministry plans to adopt a student health reporting system similar to the one implemented in Scandinavian countries.

Sweden and Norway have implemented policies where students receive not only academic report cards but also health reports detailing their physical condition throughout their education.

The CKG program for schools is part of President Prabowo Subianto's Quick Best Results Program, currently targeting 53 million students across Indonesia.

The CKG "pick-up" program, which sends health screening teams to schools, was officially launched to expand the scope of services, which were initially limited to students at Sekolah Rakyat and the general public on their birthdays.
