President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Singapore around 3:40 p.m. local time on Saturday to attend the 2025 Singapore National Day Parade, which is held annually on August 9.

According to the Presidential Secretariat’s press bureau, the aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his delegation landed at Paya Lebar Air Base (PLAB), Singapore, where he was received by Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Vivian Balakrishnan.

Balakrishnan was accompanied by Singapore’s Ambassador to Indonesia Kwok Fook Seng; Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryo Pratomo; and Defense Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore Colonel Hendra Supriyadi.

During the working visit, Prabowo is scheduled to attend a series of events marking Singapore’s National Day Parade, which will take place at the National Gallery.

In addition to Prabowo, other distinguished guests expected to attend the parade include His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, and Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Idris.

This year’s celebration, themed “Majulah Singapura” (Onward Singapore), will mark the 60th anniversary of the nation’s founding.

President Prabowo’s presence at the event underscores the strengthening bilateral ties between Indonesia and Singapore.

More broadly, the visit symbolizes Indonesia’s commitment to maintaining strong diplomatic relations with friendly nations, particularly within the ASEAN region.

Through its participation in this national celebration, Indonesia hopes to reaffirm its support for the shared vision of building a peaceful, stable, and prosperous region.
