"The signal of harmonious collaboration between the legislative and executive branches has been proven," he said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Khoirudin said the Jakarta DPRD is ready to monitor the city government's programs, particularly following the approval of the 2026 Regional Budget (APBD), which totals Rp95.3 trillion (US$5.92 billion).
He expressed hope the budget would deliver tangible benefits for all Jakarta residents.
The council, he stressed, is committed to ensuring priority programs are implemented effectively and achieve their intended goals.
"Jakarta’s priorities remain tackling flooding, including completing the Ciliwung River normalization, alongside improving education, healthcare, and easing traffic congestion," he said.
Khoirudin also voiced full support for the provincial government’s move to speed up discussions on the Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P). Traditionally held in September or October, this year’s deliberations were completed as early as July.
He said this early completion reflects the Jakarta DPRD's commitment to helping the provincial government carry out its duties and programs more efficiently.
"In previous years, revised budget talks wrapped up in September or October, leaving only a month or two for execution. Now, finalizing them in July gives the executive branch six months to implement the programs," Khoirudin explained.
