The awards were presented by Deputy Governor Fadhlullah during a ceremony marking 20 years since the Aceh Peace Agreement at the Balai Meuseuraya Aceh in Banda Aceh.
"This award reflects our deep respect for their dedication and sacrifice for peace in Aceh," Fadhlullah said at the ceremony taking place in the province's capital city, Banda Aceh, on Friday evening.
Among the recipients were former ANTARA Aceh bureau chiefs Saidulkarnen Ishak (posthumously), Heru Dwiatmojo, and Azhari.
Awards, initiated by the Aceh Reintegration Agency (BRA), were also given to institutions and international partners credited with supporting the peace process.
Fadhlullah thanked the central government, foreign mediators, and development agencies for their role, saying that the recognition aimed to highlight the value of every contribution to peace and inspire future generations of Acehnese.
