"For the Ministry of Finance, independence is fulfilled by carrying out the mandate to manage state finances, ensuring that the State Budget (APBN) is present and beneficial for all Indonesian people," she wrote on her Instagram account @smindrawati in Jakarta on Sunday.
According to Indrawati, independence is a mandate from the nation's heroes that must be safeguarded and maintained together.
Therefore, everyone has a role in ensuring independence, she continued.
She also mentioned that the State Budget continues to be a crucial instrument in realizing the nation's ideals during Indonesia's 80th anniversary of independence.
As mandated by the 1945 Constitution, the State Budget is said to play a role in protecting the entire nation and its entire homeland, advancing general welfare, improving the nation's intellectual life, and contributing to maintaining world order.
"The state budget will continue to be relied upon to realize a united and sovereign Indonesia, a prosperous people, and a progressive Indonesia," the minister pointed out.
At the 2026 State Budget Bill and its Financial Notes Session on Friday (August 15), President Prabowo Subianto announced the State Budget would be prioritized for initiatives to advance food security, energy security, the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, education, health, the people’s economy, national defense posture, and the investment climate.
The president detailed that Rp757.8 trillion (approx. US$46.8 billion) would be allocated to enhance educational services, while Rp402.4 trillion (US$24.8 billion) would support stronger energy security.
Meanwhile, Rp335 trillion (US$20.7 billion) is planned for the MBG program, Rp224 trillion (US$13.8 billion) for improving medical services, and Rp164.4 trillion (US$10.1 billion) for food security strategies.
According to the document of the 2026 State Budget Bill (RAPBN) and Financial Notes, the eight key areas are described as medium-term strategies to strengthen Indonesia’s food, energy, and economic resilience.
