“The spirit of independence must be expressed through tangible contributions. For us at the Ministry of Creative Economy, that spirit is reflected in innovation, creativity, and impact-driven efforts that benefit society and the world. This is how we commemorate independence in the modern era,” Riefky stated in a press release on Sunday.
Serving as the ceremony inspector during the commemoration of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day at the ministry, Riefky emphasized that the creative economy is rooted in Indonesia’s rich cultural diversity, which shapes the nation’s identity, reinforces global sovereignty, and generates economic opportunities for its people.
During the ceremony, Minister Riefky also presented the *Satyalancana Karya Satya* medals to 26 civil servants in recognition of their 10, 20, and 30 years of service. The awards honor their dedication and contributions to strengthening Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem.
“These honors are not only a form of appreciation, but also a reminder that the hard work and commitment of civil servants are essential to realizing the true meaning of independence. We are all on the frontlines of making Indonesia’s creative economy more competitive,” he said.
