Speaking in Jakarta, Prabowo emphasized that the police's role extends beyond law enforcement to include strategic contributions that directly impact public welfare.
One such effort is the establishment of the National Police (Polri) Food Security Task Force (Satgas Pangan), which monitors the distribution of key commodities, such as corn, to ensure smooth supply chains free from hoarding, fraud, or price manipulation.

"The presence of police officers on the ground ensures security for farmers, businesses, and consumers, while also helping to maintain national economic stability," Prabowo said.
He added that businesses now have greater assurance over distribution systems, while the public enjoys better access to essential goods at more stable prices.
Polri's role in overseeing food distribution, he noted, is not solely about enforcement but part of a broader synergy to uphold economic stability and support the goals of Asta Cita (eight missions).
The four-star general emphasized that the Asta Cita vision serves as a guiding framework for national development policies, which require collaboration across all sectors of society.
"One of the key missions of Asta Cita is to achieve national food security — a goal that can only be realized by increasing agricultural productivity and maximizing the country’s domestic potential," he stated.
