Arriving at around 5:30 p.m. local time at the Presidential Palace, Sadewa said he wanted to report on proposed changes to several budget components submitted by the government to the DPR.
“There are some budget changes that were proposed to the DPR. We have submitted them, and I will report (to the President) the outcome of the DPR session,” Sadewa said, responding to questions from reporters.
Sadewa, who was inaugurated just two days earlier on September 8, said no special report was prepared for the President.
In the meeting earlier, Sadewa and the DPR Commission XI discussed the Ministry of Finance’s 2026 Work Plan and Budget (RKA) amounting to Rp52.16 trillion.
Sadewa also mentioned sovereign wealth Danantara and the agenda for accelerating investment, which is believed to boost economic growth.
“In the future, investment contributions from Danantara are expected to continue increasing until 2029, in line with rising private sector contribution,” Sadewa said in the meeting.
He also explained that the state budget (APBN) will continue to support sustainable infrastructure development, focusing on priority projects that drive growth such as housing, food and energy security infrastructure, as well as education and health facilities.
The projected gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the 2026 draft state budget is targeted at 5.4 percent, higher than the 2025 target of 5.2 percent.
Looking into the GDP components, investment growth is expected to slow from 5.5 percent this year to 5.2 percent next year.
Meanwhile, household consumption is projected to increase from 5.0 percent to 5.2 percent, along with exports rising from 5.4 percent to 6.7 percent.
By sector, agriculture is expected to grow 4.1 percent, manufacturing 5.2 percent, and information and communication 8.0 percent next year.
