Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Law has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements with 11 ministries and agencies in Jakarta on Thursday, to enhance synergy.

Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas noted that cooperation with those ministries and agencies will offer many benefits, including strengthening legal certainty, data and information integration, human resource capacity building, quick responses to national issues, and ideological and constitutional resilience.

"I hope the cooperation can be a reminder for us that, amid the dynamic global situation, concrete actions are needed in the democracy, which is our collective responsibility," he said.

To this end, he assessed that the signing of cooperation agreements is part of efforts to strengthen synergy and reflects the spirit of collaboration, in accordance with the directive of President Prabowo Subianto.

He noted that the president has emphasized that Indonesia's development must be directed at making Indonesia a strong, self-reliant, and competitive nation in his speech on the 2026 draft state budget delivered in August.

"This directive gives a strong signal that every ministry and agency can no longer work on their own, but must work together and complement each other," he said.

Agtas underscored that the Law Ministry as well as the other ministries and agencies must ensure the commitments in the MoUs and cooperation agreements are followed up with clear action plans, measurable targets, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and openness to make improvements.

The 11 ministries and agencies with whom the Law Ministry signed MoUs and cooperation agreements on Thursday include the National Armed Forces (TNI), the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Population and Family Development.

The other 7 are the Ministry of Housing and Settlements, the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the National Archives (ANRI), the National Library (Perpusnas), the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), and the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).

As of today, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights has signed cooperation agreements with 62 partners in 2025, covering government ministries and agencies, banks, and universities.
