Jambi (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Purwadi Arianto ensured that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program in Jambi is being implemented in accordance with the standards set by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

“We visited SMAN 10 Jambi City to ensure the MBG program meets the standards, including proper distribution, equipment, and hygiene,” he said here on Thursday.

He expressed hope that the government's MBG program will run effectively, particularly in terms of quality.

He emphasized the importance of integrating all government programs, such as Free Health Check-ups (CKG), Sekolah Rakyat (SR), the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KMP), and public housing, across ministries and agencies to achieve maximal outcomes.

According to him, all policies must be grounded in the spirit of gotong royong or mutual cooperation.

Such spirit is the key to delivering quality outcomes in the programs, he added.

The MBG program is among the government's flagship programs. In addition to students, it also targets pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, with the aim of improving the overall quality of life for Indonesian citizens.

“We hope the President’s program continues smoothly, sustainably, and with better quality,” Arianto stated.

The Jambi Provincial Government plans to establish 389 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs) to serve 1.1 million students and residents.

Currently, 22 SPPGs are operational across Jambi Province, 13 in Jambi City, six in Tanjung Jabung Timur, and one each in Muaro Jambi, Tanjung Jabung Barat, and Sungai Penuh.

By September 2025, 17 additional SPPGs will be ready in four regions, including six in Jambi City, two in Sungai Penuh, two in Batang Hari, and four in Kerinci District.
