“The deployment aims to ensure smooth traffic for cyclists and the general public during the event,” said West Manggarai Police Chief Adjunct Sen Coms Christian Kadang on Sunday, after leading a security inspection at local police headquarters.
A total of 598 personnel are involved, including officers from West Manggarai Police, Mobile Brigade Unit B of East Nusa Tenggara Police, and three local precincts along the route: Lembor, Sano Nggoang, and Komodo. Municipal security teams (Linmas) are also assisting in key areas along the course.
“We’re coordinating closely with the TNI (Indonesian Armed Forces), Kodim 1612/Mabar, Labuan Bajo Naval Post, local transportation department, civil service police, and Linmas,” Kadang said.
The 10th stage of the 2025 Tour de EnTeTe will run from Lembor to the finish line at the West Manggarai District Office, passing through Wae Nakeng, Nggorang, Marombok, and several main streets in Labuan Bajo, including Jalan Puncak Waringin, Jalan Bukit Cinta, and Jalan Frans Nala.
Security officers will be stationed at intersections and road segments prone to congestion.
“Personnel will be deployed at strategic points to maintain order and ensure the race runs smoothly,” said Kadang, urging residents to follow traffic instructions and support the event.
“Let’s be good hosts and help make Tour de EnTeTe 2025 a success.”
He also advised locals to secure livestock, particularly along the Lembor–Labuan Bajo route, to prevent accidents.
“Loose animals are a known hazard. We urge owners to keep them penned during the race,” he added.
