Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Secretariat General of the Ministry of Manpower launched the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) and the Fraud Control System (SIKENCUR) in Jakarta on Monday.

Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor said in an official statement that this initiative is a significant effort to strengthen integrity and establish a clean, transparent government free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism.

"Bribery and fraud are not only financially damaging, but also erode reputation and public trust. Therefore, implementing SMAP and SIKENCUR is essential for building a clean, transparent, and accountable work culture," Noor stated.

He also emphasized that integrity and public trust are the foundations of modern organizations.

However, the challenges of implementing these values are increasingly complex, particularly in combating bribery and fraud.

He added that in order to implement SMAP and SIKENCUR effectively, there are several important things that need to be understood and implemented together.

These include a deep understanding of the potential risks of bribery and fraud across all business processes, both internal and external, the implementation of anti-bribery and anti-fraud principles, and the strengthening of a culture of integrity.

"No matter how good a system is, it will not succeed if it is not supported by a work culture that upholds integrity," he said.

"Therefore, leadership role models, ongoing human resource development, and employee courage to report irregularities without fear are needed," he added.

In the meantime, the Secretary General of the ministry Cris Kuntadi, in his report, said that the launch of SMAP and SIKENCUR was the first step in improving the internal system at the ministry.

The launch also sends a message to the public that the ministry is committed to restoring the institution's reputation.

"The goal is to raise awareness about anti-bribery and anti-fraud, and to help organizations address integrity risks by creating a clean, measurable, and accountable work environment," Kuntadi said.
