Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has affirmed its commitment to carry out a comprehensive transformation and reform.

Chief of the Polri Transformation Reform Team and Head of the Police Education and Training Institute (Kalemdiklat Polri), Commissioner General Chryshnanda Dwilaksana, said on Tuesday in Jakarta that the transformation covers not only physical and bureaucratic structural changes but also a value transformation, including morality, humanity, transparency, and improved public service.

“This transformation is a courage to learn from the past, correct mistakes, face current societal challenges and expectations, and prepare for a better future,” he said.

Dwilaksana emphasized that the police must demonstrate precise quality in their work.

“Upholding the law is not merely about punishment but about building civilization and resolving conflicts in a civilized manner,” he stated.

Furthermore, the three-star police general said that Polri’s transformation is also part of fostering a culture of orderliness and legal certainty.

He underscored the police’s crucial role in maintaining national security stability.

“The police are also present to prevent conflicts from escalating, and to provide protection, guidance, and services to victims and justice seekers,” he added.

Through this transformation, Polri is expected to become more professional, humane, and capable of meeting contemporary demands in carrying out its duties.

It is known that National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo formed the Polri Transformation Reform Team.

The formation of the team was formalized through Order Letter (Surat Perintah or Sprin) number Sprin/2749/IX/TUK.2.1/2025, signed by the National Police Chief on September 17, 2025.

The team consists of 52 senior and middle-ranking officers. General Listyo Sigit Prabowo acts as patron, while Deputy Chief of Police Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo serves as advisor.

The appointed team leader is Police Education and Training Institute Chief Commissioner General Chryshnanda Dwilaksana.
