"We must work together. Efforts to protect women and children cannot be carried out by one party alone," said the minister here on Tuesday.
"We are encouraging the implementation of the Indonesian Joint Space (RBI) so that the spirit of mutual cooperation can be more truly felt by the community," she added.
She made this statement when signing a joint commitment between the Lampung Provincial Government and the regents/mayors in Bandar Lampung.
She appreciated the innovation of Tapis Village, which became a model for implementing RBI at the village level in Lampung.
The ministry also encourages local governments to strengthen gender mainstreaming (PUG), optimize gender-responsive budgets, and accelerate the achievement of Child-Friendly Districts/Cities (KLA) throughout Lampung.
To strengthen services, she asked local governments to optimize the use of non-physical special allocation funds (DAK) for women's empowerment and child protection so that services for victims of violence can reach down to the village and sub-district levels.
In the meantime, Deputy Governor of Lampung Province, Jihan Nurlela, expressed the region's readiness to strengthen policies that support women and children."Lampung has achieved the best KLA Profile for three consecutive years and continues to strive to strengthen its protection services," she said.
"However, over the past five years, the number of victims of violence has continued to rise, with the highest cases being sexual violence and domestic violence," she added.
