Central Lombok (ANTARA) - The medical team from the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial General Hospital is conducting intensive training ahead of the Indonesian MotoGP at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit to ensure the safety of the riders on October 3-5, 2025.

"We continue preparations at the Mandalika Circuit, not only regarding the track, paddock, and supporting facilities. The health and safety of the riders are also a top priority," the President Director of Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), Priandhi Satria, said on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the medical team's readiness is a vital part of MotoGP's international standards.

Satria conveyed that this training demonstrates the MGPA's commitment to realizing race safety according to the highest standards of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).

"We ensure that the 2025 Pertamina Moto Grand Prix Indonesia runs safely, smoothly, with a world-class standard," he continued.

He addressed that with trained medical personnel, readiness of healthcare facilities, and a well-developed coordination system, the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP is expected to be safe, lively, and leave a positive impression on all racers and spectators, as well as a positive image for Indonesia on the global stage.

Meanwhile, Dr. Eko, Chief Medical Officer of the NTB General Hospital, stated that this intensive training aims to improve the medical team's cohesiveness, precision, and speed in responding to emergencies.

"In the world of racing, every second is crucial," he noted.

According to him, the slightest delay could have fatal consequences, both for the racers and the medical team, who must work under racing conditions.

"Therefore, this training ensures that all procedures are carried out quickly, precisely, and safely," he continued.

The medical training is being held for two days, focusing on the main locations at the Medical Center within the circuit area and at Turn 16, known as one of the most crucial and incident-prone areas.

At this point, medical personnel are trained to respond to a variety of possible emergency scenarios, from quickly evacuating a rider who crashed to coordinating with the medical center for further treatment.
