He stressed that the commemoration is a reminder that the values of Pancasila, Indonesia’s state ideology, have been tested by history and remain the foundation of the nation.
“Amid today’s ideological and global challenges, we must reaffirm our national commitment based on Pancasila,” Rosihan said in a statement.
He said the historical events that gave rise to Pancasila Sanctity Day proved that the ideology is more than a normative text, but one defended with courage and loyalty.
“The heroes of the revolution have demonstrated courage, steadfastness, and loyalty to the country, a legacy we should continue,” he said.

Rosihan, who also serves on Commission IV of the House of Representatives (DPR), underscored the need to apply Pancasila’s principles to public policy, particularly in food security, environment, forestry, and agriculture.
“The values of Pancasila must be implemented in policy, not just in remarks. Social justice and support for the common people are concrete manifestations of Pancasila,” he said.
He also urged all Indonesians, especially the younger generation, to uphold unity and mutual cooperation as key strengths of the nation.
Amid growing disinformation and social polarization, Rosihan cautioned that preserving national cohesion is a shared responsibility.
“Let us make Pancasila Sanctity Day a reminder that this nation was built on shared struggle and will endure if we remain united. From Sumbawa Island to Indonesia, we stand firm in upholding the noble values of Pancasila,” he said.
