Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), said the number of violations caught by ETLE cameras soared from 1,710,918 in January–August to 8,335,692 in the January–September period.
“I would like to express my appreciation for the ETLE enforcement from January to September 2025, which saw a very significant increase,” Agus said during a press conference at Korlantas Polri headquarters in South Jakarta.
“There was an extraordinary 387 percent increase in ETLE performance from January to September,” he added.
The rise also impacted the number of validated and confirmed violations, he said.

Validated violations refer to images of traffic offenses captured, filtered, and analyzed by the ETLE system. Confirmed violations are those where offenders have received official notices—digitally or by courier—and acknowledged the infraction.
Agus said validated violations rose from 582,994 in January–August to 2,297,887 in January–September 2025, a 294 percent increase.
“Validation performance has shown an outstanding achievement,” he noted.
Confirmed violations also saw a steep rise—from 70,123 in the January–August period to 480,844 by September, marking a 586 percent increase.
“This is the highest achievement since the comprehensive evaluation of the ETLE revitalization and acceleration program,” Agus remarked.
The enforcement spike contributed to a sharp rise in fines paid, jumping 1,645 percent—from 22,480 cases to 392,214—boosting non-tax state revenue (PNBP).
Agus attributed the success to the near-complete digitalization of traffic enforcement across Indonesia.
“Almost all units now use digital systems for ETLE—capture, validation, ticket dispatch, and payment through BRIVA. Only Southwest Papua is still under development,” he said.
