President Prabowo expressed his support while witnessing the signing of the Gaza peace deal document, which was the peak of the Gaza Peace Summit held at the Sharm El Sheikh International Convention Center, Sharm el-Sheikh City, Egypt, on Monday local time.
At the event, President Prabowo sat right behind Egyptian President al-Sisi, and along with other world leaders applauded after the peace agreement document was signed by the leaders of the US, Egypt, Turkey and Qatar.
US President Donald Trump, in his remarks, stated, "We will sign a document that contains many rules, regulations, and other things. It's very comprehensive."
Trump noted that the peace summit went very well and succeeded in resolving conflicts that had lasted for 500 to 3,000 years.
On the same occasion, Trump also praised the host, President Sisi, then President Erdogan, whom he called a "strong man," and also the Emir of Qatar.
Trump also thanked world leaders who accepted the invitation from the US and Egypt to attend the Gaza Peace Summit which took place at around 5:00 p.m. local time.
President Sisi and President Trump then delivered a joint statement to the media. President Sisi spoke first as host, followed by President Trump.
While delivering his statement, President Trump expressed his appreciation to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto for their roles in the Gaza peace agreement.
When his name was called, President Prabowo immediately approached President Trump and the two shook hands during the press conference.
The state leaders who attended and supported the peace agreement included Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Ahmad Al Abdullah Al Sabah, and the Presidents of Palestine and Bahrain.
The Presidents of Azerbaijan, France, the Chancellor of Germany, the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Greece, Armenia, Hungary, Pakistan, Canada, Norway, Iraq, the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, and the Foreign Minister of Oman were also present at the event.
