Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto received a report from Minister of Investment and Danantara CEO Rosan P. Roeslani regarding the realization of Patriot Bond sales, which have exceeded Rp50 trillion.

The report was delivered during a limited meeting held shortly after the President’s arrival in Jakarta on Tuesday, following his attendance at the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit in Egypt.

Minister of State Secretary and Presidential Spokesperson Prasetyo Hadi said President Prabowo immediately chaired the limited meeting at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base upon his return.

“He received a report from the Minister of Investment on national investment performance, including the Patriot Bond sales, which have now surpassed Rp50 trillion,” Prasetyo stated.

In addition to updates on the Patriot Bond, Rosan also reported investment plans for the construction of waste-to-energy power plants (PLTSa) in 34 districts and cities. Of these, ten sites - including Bantar Gebang - are ready for groundbreaking.

Several ministers also presented their performance updates and strategic programs during the meeting. Among them were Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir and Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto.

President Prabowo gave a specific directive to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology to accelerate the development of Indonesia’s human resources in science and technology to support the country’s downstream industry agenda.

“The President tasked the Minister to prepare highly skilled human resources who will drive the government’s major programs across sectors, from plantations to maritime industries,” Prasetyo explained.

He added that strengthening human capital is a strategic move to ensure Indonesia can meet the growing demand for experts in priority sectors.

Meanwhile, Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir delivered a report and expressed his apologies as the Indonesian national football team failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

“The Minister expressed regret to the President for the team’s failure to advance to the 2026 World Cup. Although disappointed, the President encouraged the team to focus on two major upcoming events — the 2027 Asian Cup and the 2028 Olympics,” Prasetyo said.

The limited meeting at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base marked one of President Prabowo’s first official agendas after returning from Egypt.

Besides reviewing national investment and economic developments, the discussion also outlined the government’s strategic direction in education, sports, and human capital development. With Patriot Bond sales surpassing targets and renewable energy projects ready to break ground in various regions, the government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening national economic resilience.

This effort is accompanied by human resource development initiatives aimed at accelerating industrial downstreaming and achieving greater domestic self-reliance.
