Mulyadi disclosed the figure to the chairperson of the West Java chapter of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo), Ning Wahyu Astutik, while urging companies to regularly update information on job seekers who have been successfully hired through the platform.
“Please ensure companies actively update their data so that we can maintain accurate and transparent information,” Mulyadi said in a statement in Bandung.
He noted that most companies require applicants to hold vocational or technical skills certificates in fields such as culinary arts, accounting, and automotive services.
At a coordination meeting in Purwakarta Regency, Mulyadi underscored the importance of viewing job seekers as key contributors to economic productivity rather than passive participants in the employment process.
“Job seekers must be seen as subjects, not objects. They are stakeholders in their own right, human resources who drive productivity in the industry,” he said.
The governor said the Nyari Gawe application aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers by improving transparency and efficiency in the recruitment process.

The digital platform is part of West Java’s broader employment strategy to reduce unemployment and improve labor-market access across the province.
Mulyadi added that the regional government will continue collaborating with private companies, vocational schools, and local training centers to expand job opportunities and ensure that applicants are equipped with relevant skills for industry needs.
Meanwhile, Apindo West Java Chairperson Ning Wahyu Astutik expressed her support for the initiative and pledged to encourage employers to fully utilize the platform.
“I will urge companies in West Java to continuously update their recruitment data and make the most effective use of the Nyari Gawe system,” Astutik said, adding that the collaboration between local government and businesses is essential for sustaining job creation and workforce development in the region.
