Jakarta (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister Yassierli announced that Indonesia's labor market showed positive growth, with increased domestic and foreign work opportunities.

Data from the ministry's Labor Market Center recorded 341,086 job vacancies available in various industrial sectors.

"This figure reflects the positive growth of the Indonesian labor market and opens up great opportunities for people to develop their careers in various industrial sectors," he remarked in a statement on Thursday.

He noted that at present, 62,102 job vacancies are available from 16,166 companies nationwide.

Of that figure, the top five job sectors with the highest number of vacancies are sales (4,015 positions); manufacturing, transportation, and logistics (3,563 positions); hospitality and tourism (3,370 positions); retail and consumer products (3,186 positions); and accounting (2,536 positions).

The five most sought-after job vacancies include population census enumerators (1,000 openings); cashiers/salespersons (960 openings); sewing machine operators (801 openings); machine operators (622 opening); and sales (537 openings).

Regionally, DKI Jakarta Province leads with 25,115 job vacancies, followed by West Java (6,946), East Java (4,335), Central Java (4,301), and Banten (3,343).

In terms of job opportunities abroad, Yassierli revealed that 278,984 positions are available across 40 countries.

Taiwan offers the highest number of overseas jobs, with 126,408 vacancies, followed by Malaysia (118,316), Hong Kong (59,588), Singapore (26,075), and Saudi Arabia (9,706).

Meanwhile, the top five sectors in overseas labor placement include the domestic sector (114,069 roles); other service activities such as fruit picking (66,260 roles); agriculture, forestry, and fisheries (59,681 roles); manufacturing (54,902 roles); and health and social services (33,949 roles).

Yassierli emphasized that this data reflects a dynamic job market brimming with opportunities across multiple sectors and regions.

He urged employment seekers to take advantage of these opportunities at this opportune moment.

The minister stated that job seekers can also access these vacancies through online platforms, including private job portals, national and regional job fairs, and social media.

Karirhub has listed 11,511 vacancies from 241 companies, while the Indonesian Migrant Workers portal features 278,984 vacancies spanning 40 countries.
