“When President Prabowo visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, there was a $27 billion investment commitment from the Kingdom to Indonesia. This is something we must work together to realize,” Hanggodo said.
He noted that the meeting also covered various potential collaborations, particularly in the public works sector.
Hanggodo added that Indonesia hopes Saudi Arabia’s investment plans can be implemented soon to further strengthen bilateral relations.
“I believe this cooperation will enhance the relationship between the two countries, making it closer and more mutually supportive year by year,” he said.
Ambassador Amodi stated that his meeting with the Indonesian Minister of Public Works aimed to explore investment opportunities across multiple sectors.
“At various levels, we are ready to strengthen cooperation between our two countries, as mentioned by the minister,” the ambassador said, adding that several investment plans are ready for implementation.
He expressed hope that this investment partnership would help improve and sustain relations between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.
On July 2, President Prabowo Subianto met with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (MBS) at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.
During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding strategic cooperation across various sectors, as outlined in a joint statement.
They also shared an aspiration to strengthen collaboration in the health sector, particularly related to Hajj and Umrah services, and to support investment in pharmaceuticals, vaccines, health technology, and human resource development.
