Falling and rising again, that’s what makes a fighter,
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto encouraged graduates of the University of the Republic of Indonesia (UKRI) to learn how to face failure by reflecting on his personal journey.

“If you want to learn how to deal with failure, I suggest learning from Prabowo Subianto,” he said during UKRI’s graduation ceremony for 521 students here on Saturday.

Prabowo shared that he had experienced multiple setbacks, including four unsuccessful presidential campaigns, before finally achieving victory in the most recent election.

“Falling and rising again, that’s what makes a fighter,” he said.

He emphasized that these failures were part of divine will, shaping his patience and sharpening his instincts in facing deception and challenges.

The President also highlighted the important role of parents, especially mothers, in shaping one’s life.

“Be grateful to your mother, and to your father too. Without your father, you would not be here either. So the core message I want to convey, the one I live by, is face problems, face challenges,” he said.

Moreover, he urged the younger generation not to give up when facing difficulties. According to him, those who strive to do what is right and good will inevitably encounter major challenges, as there are still many injustices in the world.

“If we want to uphold the truth, we will certainly face challenges and hardships. But the question is, do we give in? Do we surrender? Do we lose? Do we run away? Or do we keep fighting, keep striving to uphold truth, justice, and honesty?” he asked.

“I hope you choose the right path — the path of truth, justice, and integrity,” Prabowo stated.
