“The transactions recorded during the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia amounted to US$22.8 billion,” he said during the event’s closing ceremony in Tangerang District, Banten Province, on Sunday.
The figure comprised US$17.9 billion in goods trade, US$443.7 million in services, and US$4.37 billion in investment.
The transactions were derived from memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth US$22.7 billion, on-the-spot deals totaling US$71.6 million, and business matching agreements valued at US$63.4 million.
Santoso noted that on-the-spot and business matching transactions this year increased by up to 88 percent compared with the 2024 edition.
Held from October 15 to 19, the 2025 TEI attracted 34,550 visitors from 131 countries, exceeding the target of 30 thousand attendees.
The number of exhibitors also surpassed expectations, reaching 1,619 compared with the target of 1,500.
In the food, beverage, agriculture, product licensing, and franchise zones, 623 exhibitors showcased a wide range of products, including coffee and halal-certified goods.
Meanwhile, the fashion, lifestyle, and creative industry zones featured 603 exhibitors, while 393 exhibitors participated in the manufactured products and services zones, offering textiles, footwear, pharmaceuticals, and logistics services.
This year’s TEI carried the theme “Discover Indonesia’s Excellence: Trade Beyond Boundaries”, reflecting President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita vision to strengthen downstream industries, promote national industrialization, and expand Indonesia’s role in the global supply chain.
The 2025 edition also featured B2B business matching sessions, trade missions, business forums, as well as business counseling and networking events.
