Chair of the House of Representatives’ Commission XI Mukhamad Misbakhun praised the government’s swift and progressive measures to maintain purchasing power, strengthen the real sector, and stabilize fiscal policy amid global uncertainty.
“The government’s concrete steps have begun to show results, especially in boosting household consumption and the growth of small enterprises,” he said in Jakarta.
He cited flagship initiatives such as the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, industrial downstreaming, and subsidized housing construction as key drivers of the people’s economy.
“The MBG program has reinforced purchasing power and the agricultural supply chain, downstreaming has added value to national industries, and housing development has created hundreds of thousands of jobs,” he said.
Misbakhun said the government’s economic stimulus package covering social assistance, financing for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), industrial incentives, and a national internship program reflected a strong commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s economic foundation toward its 2045 Golden Indonesia vision.

“If these programs are implemented consistently and accurately, economic growth can be maintained at around five percent or even higher,” he said.
He urged that stimulus funds be channeled into productive sectors such as downstream industries, value-added agriculture, and innovation-based exports.
“We must ensure that the stimulus not only drives consumption but also reinforces the economic structure so Indonesia can move up to the next level,” the legislator said.
Misbakhun also underscored the importance of maintaining fiscal support and strengthening government coordination to ensure effective implementation of programs.
He emphasized that Commission XI would continue serving as a strategic partner of the government in advancing inclusive, growth-oriented economic policies that deliver tangible benefits for the people.
