Jakarta (ANTARA) - Culture Minister Fadli Zon affirmed that the Ministry of Culture has programs accessible to cultural practitioners as part of efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s cultural ecosystem.

“Many facilities are available for communities, such as the Indonesiana Fund. It is a Cultural Endowment Fund provided to communities for cultural advancement efforts. This year, around 3,000 cultural practitioners have joined the program. I hope the Rumah Kreatif Keboen Sastra Foundation can also benefit from this support,” Zon said in a statement received in Jakarta on Saturday (Oct. 25).

The Bogor-based nonprofit Rumah Kreatif Keboen Sastra Foundation works to empower street musicians and cultural communities through training, creative workshops, and public performances in West Java.

At the 2025 Rekkam Art Festival (RAF), he said the ministry carries out the mandate of Article 32, Paragraph 1 of the 1945 Constitution, which obligates the state to promote national culture amid global civilization.

Law No. 5 of 2017 on Cultural Advancement, which recognizes arts as one of the Cultural Advancement Objects, also reflects this commitment.

The commitment is reinforced through several ministry programs supporting the global promotion of Indonesian literature, such as the Translation and Literary Promotion Laboratory and the Intellectual Property-based Literary Development initiative.

Chairperson of the Rumah Kreatif Keboen Sastra Foundation, Herie Syahnilla Putra Siregar, said the festival serves not only as an exhibition but also as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and education among artists, cultural activists, communities, and the public.

Echoing Herie’s remarks, organizing committee chairperson Setni Laura Bernadhette said the minister’s presence demonstrated his deep appreciation for Indonesia’s arts, culture, and traditions, as well as his strong support for RAF 2025.

Bogor Deputy Mayor Jenal Mutaqin noted that culture will continue to thrive if all parties, both government and society, collaborate with each other.

“The government will continue to work in synergy to maintain strong relations with cultural practitioners as a form of support and appreciation. Hopefully, this event will continue sustainably, allowing culture to remain the identity and dignity of Bogor’s people,” Mutaqin said in a statement.

Minister Zon expressed hope that community-driven cultural initiatives like RAF in 2025 will continue to flourish nationwide.
