“The programs within Kampung KB are not solely run by the ministry but rely on cross-sector collaboration, program synergy, and active community participation as social capital,” Wihaji said.
He made the remarks during a visit on Tuesday, November 11, to a Kampung KB in Garut, West Java, where he provided guidance on the national “Healthy Kitchen Tackles Stunting” (Dashat) initiative and other priority programs.
Wihaji explained that the Kampung KB approach is integrated with human resource development programs across sectors. He said the initiative aims to strengthen family functions, enhance resilience, and foster healthier, safer, and more productive communities.
“Intervention activities in Kampung KB demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving citizens’ quality of life,” he said, noting that the program involves businesses, educational institutions, community organizations, religious leaders, and all societal segments.

“This movement not only addresses current needs but also lays a foundation for future generations, ensuring Indonesia’s progress through healthy, resilient, and prosperous families,” Wihaji added.
He stressed that stunting is linked not only to nutrition but also to sanitation and environmental factors, which can hinder children’s growth.
During the visit, Wihaji distributed weekly food packages valued at IDR 105,000, provided IDR 5,000 weekly incentives for family assistant teams (TPK), and allocated IDR 35 million each for home renovations at three sites.
The ministry also targeted families at risk of stunting, including pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers, while offering family planning services as part of the broader effort to prevent stunting.
Through Kampung KB, Wihaji said, the ministry/National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) seeks to provide every family with support to overcome challenges and maximize their opportunities to thrive.
