According to her, cross-sectoral collaboration is key to realizing an integrated logistics system and supporting the smooth flow of national and international trade.
"Logistics are beyond a supporting sector, but a backbone of national trade. Logistics' efficiency determines the competitiveness of Indonesian products' prices at domestic and global markets," she said in a statement here on Wednesday.
The Indonesian government has made a firm commitment to overhauling national logistics. The Ministry of Trade is also committed to continuously strengthening inter-regional trade connectivity, distribution efficiency, and national logistics competitiveness.
The ministry also continues to collaborate with all stakeholders to strengthen an efficient and sustainable supply chain system, recognizing that robust logistics are essential for bolstering Indonesia's trade structure and driving national economic growth.
Furthermore, Esti underlined that every party has an interconnected role in maintaining the smooth flow of trade, emphasizing that price and supply stability cannot be achieved if the flow of goods is hindered.
Therefore, cross-sector collaboration is necessary to bolster the domestic supply chain.
Currently, the government is continuously strengthening multimodal connectivity that links land, sea, air, and rail transportation.
This is demonstrated by efforts to modernize ports, airports, dry ports, and container depots, carried out simultaneously with the digitalization of logistics systems such as e-manifest, e-invoice, e-tracking, and e-payment.
In addition, through the implementation of the Indonesia National Single Window (INSW), which is integrated with 18 ministries and agencies, export-import processes have become more efficient and transparent.
The deputy minister further said that the government had made efforts to open access to new potential markets, including through the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Indonesia and Canada.
