Speaking at the launch of the Learning Digitalization for Smart Indonesia program in Bekasi, West Java, Prabowo said the country must first recognize its educational challenges to chart a path toward improvement.
He said education is the foundation of national progress, and a nation’s success depends on its ability to master science and technology.
"We understand that education and technology, science, and knowledge are the keys to success; they are the keys to prosperity. There is no prosperity if we cannot master science and technology," he said.

Prabowo highlighted the rollout of interactive flat panels (IFPs), or smartboards, as evidence that the government’s digital learning initiative is taking hold faster than expected.
"It has been reported that as of November, around 173,000 panels have already been installed," he said.
He praised the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education for its role in advancing the program.
As of November 16, 2025, the government has shipped 215,572 IFP units, including 172,550 already delivered to schools and 43,022 still in transit.
The initiative aims to distribute 288,865 IFPs nationwide by December 2025.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti said school revitalization and digital learning remain top priorities in 2026.
Speaking at a coordination meeting in Tangerang, Banten, on November 13, he said the government plans to expand next year’s distribution — from one IFP per school in 2025 to three per school in 2026.
