Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the aid includes tents, boats, generators, and communication devices.
“There are around 150 tents and 64 rubber boats, crucial for evacuation. Then there are generators for electrical equipment. Around 100 communication devices have been dispatched to restore communication signals,” Teddy said at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base on Friday.
He added that ready-to-eat food, medical personnel, and medicines are also being sent. “The aid will be distributed to Padang, West Sumatra; then to Silangit Airport in North Sumatra; and to Banda Aceh and Lhokseumawe in North Aceh because they are the closest airports to the affected areas,” he said.
The supplies were transported using four Indonesian Air Force aircraft — three Hercules planes and one A400M.
Teddy said the operation began on November 25, 2025, following orders from President Prabowo Subianto, who instructed Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno to oversee the delivery.
According to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), flash floods and landslides have struck 13 districts and cities in North Sumatra.
In West Sumatra, affected areas include Agam, Padang Pariaman, Bukittinggi, Solok, and Padang.
In Aceh, 10 of 23 districts and cities have declared flood emergency status, displacing 1,497 people and causing two deaths.
