“The President’s order is that all national resources be deployed during this emergency response phase to ease the burden on the people,” Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno said in a statement here on Monday.
He explained that the President’s directive serves as the basis for large-scale mobilization across ministries, agencies, the Indonesian Military (TNI), the National Police, and local governments to ensure aid reaches affected communities quickly and accurately.
Pratikno added that relevant ministries and agencies are already on the ground to accelerate the restoration of electricity, reopen land routes, and distribute logistics by air and sea.
These efforts are being carried out together with local governments, the TNI, and the police, who have been assisting communities since the first day of the disaster.
“This shows that all ministries and agencies are working as hard as possible to deploy available resources to help the people, together with local governments, the military, and the police, who have been assisting since day one," he explained.
In addition to emergency response, the government has also begun preparing for rehabilitation and reconstruction, including the provision of temporary and permanent housing.
These steps are intended to ensure that communities can recover quickly, resume their activities, and be better prepared for future disaster risks.
Meanwhile, the National Police have strengthened humanitarian operations by deploying personnel, aircraft, helicopters, ships, and supporting facilities to reach isolated areas.
This collaboration ensures that aid can be delivered on time, especially to regions with disrupted access.
