In a statement on Monday, PLN CEO Darmawan Prasodjo said all personnel worked intensively to reopen access to the hardest-hit locations and restore electricity service.
He said the recovery received full support from local governments, the military, police, and affected communities.
"The challenges are extraordinary, but our spirit to bring light to the people in North Sumatra was greater than the challenges themselves," Prasodjo said.
PLN North Sumatra Distribution Unit (UID) General Manager Mundhakir said the recovery was carried out by prioritizing safety, speed, and accuracy.
"We deployed around 949 personnel under strict procedures. Many disaster-hit areas were difficult to reach on foot, requiring crews to cross cliffs and muddy paths to reach isolated communities," he said.
Mundhakir added that 103 affected feeders have fully resumed operations and that restorations in isolated areas are being completed gradually.
"The completion of this recovery is not only a technical success, but also proof that cross-stakeholder collaboration can overcome the most difficult challenges," he said.
PLN said Sorkam in Central Tapanuli District was the last area to regain electricity on Sunday, marking the completion of post-disaster recovery after floods struck on November 25.
