Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia and Pakistan on Tuesday signed seven cooperation agreements covering education, trade, health, and security during President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit to Islamabad, officials said.

The signing and exchange ceremony took place at the Pakistan prime minister’s residence, where Prabowo and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif witnessed the formalization of new partnerships tied to the Indonesian leader’s two-day visit to the country.

The agreements include a memorandum of understanding on higher education signed by Indonesia’s Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto and Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

A second agreement launched the Indonesian Aid Scholarship program, signed by Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and Siddiqui.

The two nations also concluded MoUs on trade cooperation and halal product certification, exchanged by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Pakistan’s Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan.
