Yogyakarta (ANTARA) - The Center for Standardization and Industrial Services for Handicrafts and Batik (BBSPJIKB), a working unit under the Agency for Standardization and Industrial Services Policy (BSKJI) at the Ministry of Industry, held the Industrial Gathering 2025 as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration within the industrial sector.

“Industrial Gathering 2025 is organized as an open, constructive, and collaborative communication forum for all industrial stakeholders,” Acting Head of BBSPJIKB Cahyadi said in his opening remarks at the event titled “Synergy and Collaboration Toward Industrial Self-Reliance” in Yogyakarta on Tuesday.

The hybrid event was attended by around 200 participants, including 150 in-person attendees and 50 online participants from central and regional government institutions, state-owned enterprises, Bank Indonesia, industry players, academics, associations, as well as BBSPJIKB partners and prospective service users.

“Through this event, we are also disseminating information on the expansion of the types and scope of industrial service offerings at BBSPJIKB to partners and prospective partners in order to strengthen future synergy,” Cahyadi added.

The gathering featured a panel discussion with four speakers representing the Directorate of Chemical, Textile, and Handicraft Small and Medium Industries under the Ministry of Industry’s Directorate General of Small and Medium Industries, the Yogyakarta chapter of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin DIY), and BBSPJIKB.

According to Cahyadi, the discussion served as a strategic platform to exchange perspectives and strengthen a shared understanding of future challenges and opportunities in industrial development.

“This also reflects efforts to enhance the agility of working units under BSKJI, including BBSPJIKB, so they can better respond to diverse industrial needs through the expansion of service scopes beyond the handicraft and batik sectors,” he said.

During the event, BBSPJIKB also symbolically presented certificates to companies that had completed and passed certification processes, as part of efforts to encourage quality improvement, compliance with standards, and sustainable competitiveness within national industries.

Meanwhile, BSKJI Head Emmy Suryandari said that in the context of implementing the National New Industrialization Strategy (SBIN), BSKJI plays a strategic role in strengthening the industrial ecosystem through standardization, industrial services policy, and the development of quality infrastructure.

She noted that through 24 technical implementation units under BSKJI’s coordination, the agency continues to enhance the quality and relevance of industrial services, including certification, testing, calibration, proficiency testing, and technical assistance, to ensure stronger alignment with industry needs.

“BSKJI continues to ensure that national industrial products meet global standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. All working units are encouraged to keep innovating and adapting to respond to industry demands,” Emmy said.
