The meeting took place at Dolmabahce Palace and lasted nearly an hour, according to information received here.
Sugiono and Sjamsoeddin were received by Erdogan and held a closed-door discussion, accompanied by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Defense Minister Yasar Guler.
The meeting followed the Indonesia-Turkey Joint Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense held in Ankara on Friday, conducted under the 2+2 dialogue framework.
During the Ankara talks, delegations discussed efforts to strengthen strategic cooperation across security, trade, economic development, and energy sectors.
Both sides agreed on the importance of accelerating negotiations on a limited preferential trade agreement as a pathway toward a comprehensive strategic economic partnership.
Sugiono said the agreement would unlock significant economic potential and deliver broader benefits for both countries.
Indonesia and Turkey also agreed to expand cooperation in renewable energy, including the electric vehicle battery ecosystem, petrochemicals, mining, and energy development.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to defense cooperation, focusing on personnel development and defense technology to support greater industry self-reliance.
Indonesia also expressed support for Turkey's aspiration to enhance engagement with Southeast Asia by becoming a full dialogue partner of ASEAN.
