She said women’s contributions through community organizations, in collaboration with various stakeholders, could be realized by supporting strategic development programs, including Free Health Check-ups, Free Nutritious Meals, and women’s involvement in managing Red and White Village Cooperatives.
Fauzi made the remarks during the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama in North Kalimantan on Monday.
She said Indonesia’s national development goals, as outlined in the fourth point of Asta Cita, emphasize the importance of strengthening human resources through science and technology, education, health, gender equality, and the empowerment of women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
Under this mandate, she added, women’s participation is essential in shaping the direction of national development policies.
“The Indonesian population, which is dominated by women and children, makes women one of the key factors in strengthening family resilience, education, health, and community economic empowerment,” she said.
She noted that women’s role in national development is closely linked to the contributions of women’s organizations, including Muslimat and Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama, which run programs and services reaching grassroots communities.
Organizations such as Muslimat and Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama, she said, play a strategic role in assisting communities through social, educational, health, and economic empowerment initiatives.
The minister expressed hope that, after eight decades of service, Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama will continue to encourage and inspire Indonesian women to strengthen their commitment and actively contribute to achieving Golden Indonesia 2045.
