Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Maman Abdurrahman said on Tuesday that the program is projected to absorb up to 2.25 million workers.
"Approximately 2.25 million workers could be absorbed, with the potential involvement of 450,000 MSME suppliers across 30,000 MBG kitchens, with each MSME typically employing one to five people," he said during a meeting with Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI).
Abdurrahman said supply chain partnership realization throughout 2025 reached Rp283.7 billion, involving 3,060 MSMEs.
He added that the partnerships were established with large enterprises, state-owned companies, and through the Integrated Business Service Center for Cooperatives and MSMEs (PLUT-KUMKM).
Abdurrahman said 14,084 entrepreneurs have been connected to the Entrepreneur Hub ecosystem, while 7,980 entrepreneurs are directly involved in the MBG program.
The Entrepreneur Hub is a government initiative that provides mentoring and collaboration by linking entrepreneurs with access to financing, training, business mentors, and market opportunities.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to allocate 30 percent of public infrastructure commercial space for MSMEs, including rest areas, airports, terminals, ports, and train stations.
Currently, 406 public infrastructure units have a total commercial area of 1.09 million square meters, with 471,623 square meters allocated for MSMEs.
Citing ministry data, Abdurrahman said that by the third quarter of 2025, 7,715 MSMEs had utilized these facilities, with occupancy reaching 285,776 square meters, or 60.59 percent.
