“We hope that within three years, all schools in Indonesia will have at least six classrooms with digital interactive panels,” Prabowo said while delivering his special address at the forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday.
The president noted that last year the government renovated 16,140 schools and equipped 288,000 schools with one 75-inch IFP unit each as part of the national education digitalization program.
He said the initiative serves as an initial foundation to ensure more equitable access to learning technology across all regions of the country.
Prabowo added that the government plans to distribute one million IFP units in 2026, enabling schools to equip at least three to four classrooms with digital panels before gradually expanding coverage to six classrooms per school.
According to the president, the program will also allow the government to monitor teaching quality and student engagement in various regions in real time.
He stressed that education digitalization is a key step in empowering future generations, noting that human capital development is critical to long-term growth and sustainable returns.
Prabowo further emphasized that education plays a central role in a nation’s progress and success. Without adequate education and the ability to keep pace with modern science and technology, achieving stability and prosperity remains difficult.
“Lack of education is the path toward failed states. No country can hope to be stable and prosper if its people are illiterate or unable to keep up with modern science and technology,” he said.
The WEF Annual Meeting 2026, held from January 19 to 23 under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” brings together world leaders, economists, academics, experts, and practitioners to discuss global economic challenges.
