“The ministry guarantees all citizens’ rights to both formal and non-formal education,” Director General Tatang Muttaqin said in Jakarta on Saturday.
He said ensuring the right to education is central to the ministry’s commitment to broadening access and promoting lifelong learning for all Indonesians.
Muttaqin emphasized that education should not be limited by geography, time, or socio-economic conditions.
Distance learning is being promoted as an adaptive and flexible solution that meets public needs and keeps pace with technological developments.

Vocational courses and training programs aim to enhance skills and competencies, recognize learning outcomes, and support lifelong learning opportunities.
The ministry is encouraging collaboration among central and regional governments, schools, and strategic partners to strengthen education delivery.
This partnership approach is intended to reach communities in remote areas and those with limited access to educational services.
“Through these programs, we aim to ensure that no Indonesian child is left behind or deprived of their right to education,” Muttaqin said.
He added that the Quality Education for All vision underpins Indonesia’s human resource development strategy, as outlined in President Prabowo Subianto’s fourth Asta Cita mission.
