The discussions took place when TNI AD Deputy Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Muhammad Saleh Mustafa received a courtesy call from Brig. Gen. Wong Shi Min, Chief of Staff of the Singapore Army General Staff, in Jakarta on Monday (Feb. 2).
In a statement cited here on Tuesday, the TNI AD said the two ground force leaders exchanged views on a range of issues, including opportunities for joint training and education programs for personnel.
During the meeting, which was held at the TNI AD headquarters, Indonesia’s Lt. Gen. Mustafa highlighted the enduring cooperation between the two armies and voiced hope that their ties would continue to deliver mutual benefits.
Singapore’s Brig. Gen. Wong, for his part, expressed appreciation for the cordial reception from the TNI AD and affirmed the Singapore Army’s commitment to elevating its collaboration with the Indonesian land force.
