St. Kitts and Nevis, ranked 154th globally, will meet Indonesia in Semifinal 1 on March 27 at 8 p.m. local time, Sumardji told ANTARA.
Semifinal 2 will feature Bulgaria against the Solomon Islands at 3:30 p.m. on the same day, he said.
Winners of the semifinals will advance to the final on March 30 at 8 p.m., while the losing teams will contest third place at 3:30 p.m.
“Semifinal 1: Indonesia vs St. Kitts and Nevis, March 27, 8 p.m. Semifinal 2: Bulgaria vs Solomon Islands, 3:30 p.m. Third place: March 30, 3:30 p.m. Final: March 30, 8 p.m.,” Sumardji wrote.
The chairman did not specify which stadium will host the matches, though the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) previously said the biennial tournament is planned for Jakarta.
“Facing teams from Europe, Oceania, and the Americas provides varied playing styles vital for our team’s development. Players will gain mental and technical experience. This is both a test and a chance to build a strong team,” said Erick.
The match against St. Kitts and Nevis will mark the first opportunity for Indonesian fans to see their team under newly appointed coach John Herdman, introduced last month.
