Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that Indonesia remains on the right track in facing global geopolitical dynamics by consistently maintaining a free and active foreign policy and not aligning with any particular bloc.

He noted that the current global situation is fraught with tension and conflict, including in the Middle East. Despite being geographically far from the epicenter of the conflict, he said, Indonesia still feels the impact due to an increasingly interconnected world.

"Our nation, our country, is on the right track. We are on a path of neutrality. We consistently follow a free, active, and non-aligned path," he said, as quoted from a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel on Monday.

The President assessed that the current global situation serves as an important reminder for Indonesia to maintain an independent foreign policy, unattached to the interests of any specific bloc.

He asserted that Indonesia continues to respect all nations and global powers while maintaining good relations with various parties without having to take sides in international conflicts.

Prabowo stated that this stance is also in line with Indonesia's national values, which uphold diversity.

"We uphold Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) at home and abroad. We respect all nations, religions, races, and ethnicities," he remarked.

He added that this approach is a key factor in Indonesia's ability to maintain stability and live in peace, amidst the presence of hundreds of ethnic groups across the country.
