Speaking at the State Palace on Friday afternoon, he began with an instruction for Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi to effectively implement planned fare reductions for flights, train travel, ferries, and toll roads.
“And to ensure proper services at all locations,” he added.
Prabowo then addressed Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto and National Police (Polri) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, urging them to mobilize institutional assets to assist with Eid homecoming traffic and safety.
Turning to Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, the president underscored the importance of ensuring accuracy in distributing extra food aid to 36 million beneficiary families registered with the National Single Socioeconomic Data (DTSEN).
He also drew attention to manpower welfare, demanding punctual disbursement of Eid al-Fitr allowances, popularly known as THR, for state workers serving in central and regional government institutions.
Additionally, the head of state reinforced the government’s commitment to overseeing the distribution of Eid bonuses worth between Rp400,000 (US$23.50) and Rp1.6 million (US$94.3) per person for online taxi drivers.
He told cabinet members that “our administration is the first to endorse Eid bonuses for online taxi drivers.”
For food security, Prabowo urged Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Trade Minister Budi Santoso, and Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman to take measures aimed at keeping prices and stocks stable.
"To all ministries and agencies, I want you all to make preparations for Eid. Let us ensure that this year's homecoming trips proceed safely and comfortably and bring joy to the people," he added.
He also stressed that Indonesia must be able to safeguard its economy while acknowledging potential impacts from adverse global dynamics recently.
