“I highly appreciate the people of Banten, especially Serang City, for being able to present a national-scale event like tonight. This shows that the creativity of young people has great potential to continue to grow,” the minister said in an official statement confirmed here on Wednesday.
The event, held at the West Square of Serang City, Banten, and closed on Tuesday (March 17), featured more than 80 local brands from fashion and lifestyle subsectors, as well as more than 50 culinary tenants, accompanied by music performances and creative community activities.
Harsya also conveyed that President Prabowo Subianto has designated Banten Province as one of the priority locations for creative economy development in the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan, supported by Rp10 trillion in Intellectual Property-based People’s Business Credit (KUR) financing in 2026.
Before the closing, the minister reviewed creative booths and interacted with creative economy players. He invited all parties to continue strengthening collaboration in developing the creative economy sector in various regions.
“We see many local brands born from the creativity of young people. I am confident these works can not only grow nationally but also have the opportunity to penetrate global markets,” he added.
On the same occasion, Banten Governor Andra Soni said that the BCF 2026 is a strategic step for creative economy players to continue growing and to generate a positive impact on local economic development.
