Yusuf, known as Gus Ipul, said the digital system has been piloted in Banyuwangi, East Java, and will be expanded to 40 districts and cities nationwide.
“If successful, it will be implemented nationally. This digitalization aims to create a more precise distribution system so aid can better reach its targets,” he said at a press conference in Malang, East Java, on Monday.
He described the initiative as a strategic step by the central government to improve the effectiveness of social assistance programs.
The system is expected to reduce targeting errors by relying on the continuously updated National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN), maintained by Statistics Indonesia (BPS).
In addition to BPS, the Social Affairs Ministry is working with multiple agencies to strengthen the digital system and data updates, including the Home Affairs Ministry, the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry, and the Communication and Digital Affairs Ministry.
“We have also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Villages and Disadvantaged Regions Development Ministry,” Yusuf said.
He expressed hope that the new system would reduce targeting errors to below five percent.
Family Hope Program (PKH) facilitators and village officials will act as data-updating agents, helping communities use the digital platform for social assistance services.

“In the coming years, with digitalization, everyone will be able to propose or object if they find inaccurate data,” he said.
The ministry is continuing to promote the system to ensure the public understands how it works and can participate effectively.
He emphasized that, during the early stages, the role of facilitators and village administrations will be critical to ensuring smooth implementation.
“Initially, the role of facilitators and village authorities will be decisive in ensuring the digital system runs properly,” he added.
