Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto has appointed General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman as Presidential Chief of Staff during an inaugural ceremony held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday.

The appointment was based on Presidential Decree No. 52/P of 2026 concerning the dismissal and appointment of the Presidential Chief of Staff and the Head of the Government Communications Agency.

President Prabowo personally led the oath-taking ceremony for Dudung and several other officials.

“I swear by God that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will strictly uphold all laws and regulations in my service to the nation and state. In carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of office, work to the best of my ability, and with full responsibility,” read the oath of office, led by the President.

The ceremony continued with the signing of the official minutes by Dudung and President Prabowo as part of the inauguration procession.

Dudung, the former Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (TNI), replaces Muhammad Qodari in the position. Prior to this role, he served as Special Advisor to the President for National Defense.

In addition to Dudung’s appointment, President Prabowo also inaugurated several other officials, including Muhammad Qodari as Head of the Government Communications Agency, Abdul Kadir Karding as Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency, Mohammad Jumhur Hidayat as Minister of Environment/Head of the Environmental Control Agency, and Hanif Faisol Nurofiq as Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, members of the Cabinet, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
